Our Managed Live-In Care Service:

This service is designed to provide you and your family with complete peace of mind. It’s truly ‘fully managed.’ A dedicated Care Manager will oversee every aspect of your care, offering exceptional support and management to you, your loved ones, and our care team, allowing you to relax. We will work in collaboration with you to ensure your care plan is personalised and your wishes and beliefs are at the forefront of all we do, ensuring you are receiving the care and outcomes you want. We also provide 24/7 emergency support, ensuring assistance is always available. Importantly, this service is regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England. When you choose our managed service, you’re choosing comprehensive, professional, and regulated care.

Our Introductory Live-In Care Service:

This service offers a more independent approach. We carefully match you with a skilled, self-employed carer, providing initial support to facilitate a seamless introduction. The ongoing management and oversight of the care provided will then be the responsibility of a nominated family member or representative. This option gives you greater control over your care arrangement, while still benefiting from our expertise in finding the right carer for your needs.

We understand that care needs can arise quickly. While we prioritise thorough person-centred care planning and risk assessments to ensure a perfect carer-client match, we can often arrange live-in care within seven working days. This allows us to ensure that the care plan is agreed with you and that we are able to select a carer with the specific skills, experience and values.

In emergency situations our introductory live-in care service can often provide care within 24 hours.

Our rigorous safer recruitment process ensures the highest quality of care. This includes:

• Comprehensive application forms and detailed background checks.
• Face-to-face interviews to assess suitability and experience.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
• Thorough verification of all professional references.
• A comprehensive induction and enhanced training before deployment.

Our standard minimum booking is two weeks. However, we understand that flexibility is essential, and we can accommodate shorter bookings for holiday cover or respite care, tailored to your specific needs.

Our carers are entitled to a two-hour break during the day, scheduled at a mutually convenient time. This allows them to rest and recharge. If providing this break within the home is challenging, we can work with you to arrange alternative cover or timings that may be more flexible. This would be discussed with your care manager during the initial assessment.

In the rare event of carer illness, we prioritise continuity of care. Your dedicated live-in care manager will promptly arrange a suitable replacement carer to minimise disruption.

Many clients enjoy sharing meals with their carer, in which case the carer’s food is included in the weekly shopping. If you would prefer a different arrangement, we can discuss what will work best for you.

To ensure a comfortable working environment, we ask that you provide:

• Sole use of a private bedroom for rest and time off.
• Access to bathroom, laundry, and kitchen facilities.

Yes, our carers are available to offer support throughout the night, ensuring you feel safe and comfortable. If you find that you need more frequent or extended assistance, your live-in care manager will be happy to discuss options for additional support, to ensure that your needs are always met with the care and attention you deserve.

Yes, the rate is double on a bank holiday as an industry standard.

Our live-in carers receive comprehensive training that includes:

• Basic life support and first aid.
• Medication management.
• Personal care and hygiene.
• Dementia and cognitive impairment care.
• Mobility and transfer assistance.
• Specialised training relating to the clients specific care needs.
• Safeguarding training.
• Care Certificate

Care plans are reviewed two weeks after we start to provide care, then every six months, or more frequently as needed, to ensure they continue to meet your evolving needs. We also encourage open collaboration, communication and feedback from clients and their families.

You will have a dedicated live-in care manager who is your primary point of contact. They are available to address any questions, concerns, or issues that may arise. Please do contact them at any time if you need to.

Yes, we can absolutely provide live-in care for couples. We understand that each person has unique needs, so we take great care in creating individualised care plans for both partners. This allows us to develop a tailored care plan and find the right live-in carer for you. We’ll also carry out a risk assessment of your home and any equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
