Yes, live-in carers regularly help with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, organising the home, meal preparation and general day-to-day upkeep.

Our carers are trained in medication management. They can assist with medication reminders, administration (where permitted), and ordering prescriptions. The care plan will detail exactly what medication support the carer will need to provide. We work closely with medical professionals to ensure all medication administration is safe and follows medical guidelines.

We understand that compatibility is crucial for a successful live-in care arrangement. If you feel that your carer is not the right fit, please contact your care manager. We will work with you to find a more suitable replacement.

During the initial care assessment, a care manager will visit you to talk through your individual needs, preferences, and daily routines. This allows us to develop a tailored care plan and find the right live-in carer for you. We’ll also carry out a risk assessment of your home and any equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

Carers can accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities and other outings, helping them stay engaged with their community and routines.

Yes. A live in carer can often support both people, helping couples remain together at home while receiving tailored support.

You will have a dedicated live-in care manager who is your primary point of contact. They are available to address any questions, concerns, or issues that may arise. Please do contact them at any time if you need to.

Care plans are reviewed two weeks after we start to provide care, then every six months, or more frequently as needed, to ensure they continue to meet your evolving needs. We also encourage open collaboration, communication and feedback from clients and their families.

Our live-in carers receive comprehensive training that includes:

Night care can include sleeping nights, where a carer is on hand if needed, or waking nights, where active support is required throughout the night. If you find that you need more frequent or extended assistance, your live-in care manager will be happy to discuss options for additional support, to ensure that your needs are always met with the care and attention you deserve.
